Homeschool Tracker

Is lack of organization taking the fun out of your home school? Consider using Homeschool Tracker.

Many homeschoolers find that record keeping, tracking assignments and logging grades hampers the flexibility of homeschooling. Home School Tracker is a software program designed to make it simple to plan your days, weeks, months and school years. If your homemade record keeping system isn't working, this program could be a good replacement. If you are already organized, then the program could enhance the system you've created.

Homeschool Tracker works for all grade levels. The program makes it easy to record your children's accomplishments and track their progress from year to year. It also makes lesson planning more efficient. With the lesson plan and weekly planner tabs, you can change your schedule in a moment's notice and still remain on track. The program provides flexibility, yet gives you the tools you need to carry out your plans.

Testing and grading functions are also included with the software. Students at higher grade levels can make sure they are taking all courses that are necessary for college and identify areas where they need improvement.

Another excellent feature of the program is the Countdown Clock. It works much like your date and time properties program, and runs in your system tray. It lets you know when events are coming up so you don't miss a thing.

Before purchasing this program, take advantage of the 30-day trial version. In order to use the software, you must have Microsoft Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista or 7. You also need 25MB of space. Mac users can run this program with Parallels. You can download the program via high speed internet or purchase it on CD-ROM. You can also purchase a printed user manual or download one for free.

Some people might feel the program is more than they need. If you only have little ones to teach or prefer writing out your own lesson plans, Home School Tracker might create more work for you. Even so, download the trial version and give it a try. There's a chance you'll want to use it when your children are older.
